Apprentice Electricians Level 2 and 3 (1800-5400 trade hours) are invited to apply with IBEW Local 2038 for active employment opportunities South Saskatchewan. Applicants must provide a Trade Summary Form from Saskatchewan Apprenticeship showing applicable hours in the trade to be considered.
Applicants residing outside of Saskatchewan need not apply. The IBEW follows a community employment policy wherein applicants must apply to the IBEW Local Union Hall in the jurisdiction where they reside. If you would like help locating the Local where you reside please don't hesitate to inquire.
As an apprentice the most desired assets are good work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and assist a qualified Journeyperson in assigned duties.
Your responsibilities include; showing up with an eager ready to learn attitude. That is all.
You will not be running a crew, responsible for the work of others, working alone and/or unsupervised, repeating the same tasks for weeks/months on end, requested to delay or postpone your technical training when given the opportunity attend to Sask Polytechnic. You will not be expected to attend to site with with the skills and knowledge of a Journeyperson Electrician.
You will be expected to advance your experience in the trade to one day become a well rounded Journeyperson with a diversified skill set.
Applicants must submit current Trade Summary Form. If you have applied in the past with IBEW Local 2038, please make sure that your application is up to date regarding your Total Trade Time as found on your Trade Summary Form from Sask Apprenticeship. All active applicants will be considered for employment positions as they become available.
