Start date: As soon as mutually agreed
Under the supervision of the EAL Coordinator, the duties of the EAL Instructor include but are not limited to; preparing lessons based on learner need, organizing learner assessment, providing language instruction to meet identified outcomes, arranging community outings and speakers and promoting EAL services within the community.
The minimum qualifications required to perform the functions of this position are; a Bachelors degree preferably in a related area, interest in becoming registered with TESL Saskatchewan and pursuing training in the area of EAL instruction, willingness to provide flexible, collaborative instruction based on the principles of adult education. Preference will be given to those who already meet the EAL background requirements
Functional knowledge of on-line tools such as google classroom and zoom for instructional purposes is required.
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector (VS) check is a condition of employment.
The following skills are preferred but not required; knowledge of adult education principles, experience training or tutoring adults, experience in education or human services.
