OPERATIONS MANAGER

LOCATION: YORKTON, SK
JAY'S TRANSPORTATION GROUP LTD. is one of the largest freight transportation companies in Saskatchewan. As a subsidiary of The Mullen Group, we provide direct freight service to over 550 locations in the province.  

Responsibilities
Freight Division:
    Train & Asses employees in the branch ensuring they are trained in their job duties and ensure the practical needs of the team are met    

Safety:
    Ensure Branch meets all safety goals
    HSE reporting
    Ensuring all equipment is operated in a safe manner  assist BM            

Administration (Back Up when Manager away):
    Check & initial timecards and trip sheets
    Truck Mate admin  check Command centre and reports daily
    Work with Office Manager to ensure the day-to-day operation of the office

Operations:
    Responsible for freight day to day operations
    Ensure all P&D service requirements are completed as scheduled  
    Ensure major accounts are looked after
    Monitor and reduce claims costs  goal of ultimate customer satisfaction
    Help co-ordinate line runs
    Co-ordinate with freight dispatch
    Pick up and spot move/freight trailers for loading and unloading and assist in packing or moving of customers as needed

Warehouse & Yard:
    General maintenance of equipment
    Oversee Weigh It program for branch - scaling and cubing of freight  monitor to increase revenue  shared responsibility
