Baydo Development Corporation is seeking a full time on Contract Journeyperson Tower Crane Operator for a commercial project in Saskatoon, SK. Candidates must be able to demonstrate prior experience in hoisting. The Tower Crane Operator is responsible for operating the crane in a safe and appropriate manner, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies, and procedures. The Tower Crane Operator is also responsible for operating crane to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials in designated spots. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. This position requires knowledge of the heavy construction industry, specifically the practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, and safety associated with this industry. Compensation will depend on experience.
Requirements
Must possess a Journeyperson Tower Crane Operators certificate.
Must have 3-5 years experience working in heavy construction environment.
Knowledge of equipment safety and maintenance techniques.
Must be able to calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
Demonstrate organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
Valid WHIMIS, First Aid, Fall Protection, and Rigging certificates are preferred.
Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.
