Moosomin Housing Authority provides affordable housing to low-income seniors, families, and others who could not otherwise access safe, secure shelter. The Housing Authority has an opportunity for a permanent, full time MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join their team!

What you'll do:
Building maintenance  service and repair
Vacancy preparation
Maintain housing authority equipment and inventory
Grounds maintenance and snow removal
Provide after-hours emergency call-out

What we're looking for:
A result focused, involved, self-starter who demonstrates respect for peoples diversity and individual differences, a team player
Proven experience maintaining and repairing boilers, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems
Experience conducting custodial & maintenance work
Well-rounded knowledge in a variety of trades to include light carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, painting, electrical and grounds work
Ability to foster excellent and effective relationships with tenants, housing authority employees, contractors, and service providers
Working knowledge of and adherence to Federal and Provincial OH&S Act and Regulations

What you'll need:
Grade 12 supplemented by several years experience in maintenance and repairs
Basic computer skills
Good judgement and superior ability to plan, problem solve, multi-task, set priorities and maximize efficiency
A valid drivers license, vehicle for company use and basic tools
Ability to participate in an on-call system
