Position and Responsibilities
Expert operation of heavy equipment in underground production areas, including manual and remote mucking.
Assist in the installation and removal of reamers and raisebore drills.

Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
Three to five years of heavy equipment operation and knowledge
Successful completion of underground training modules
Good reading, writing and communication skills are essential
Ability to work in an underground environment
Excellent safety and attendance record
Rotating day shift/night shift schedule
Assets:
Underground equipment operating experience
Vacancies identified within a unionized work location will be governed by the respective collective bargaining agreement. In cases where a job opportunity exists, senior qualified employees shall be entitled to preference.

Safety is a top priority at Cameco. Successful candidates for all positions at safety-sensitive sites or in safety-sensitive positions must take and pass a substance test (which includes marijuana testing) as a condition of employment. Marijuana remains in a users system for about 30 days, so applicants who recently used marijuana recreationally should not expect to pass a substance test.
