Description

Position and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Mine General Supervisor, you will be part of a team responsible for the daily operation of Camecos McArthur River Mine.  Your main duties will consist of short term (i.e. daily, weekly) management of development, construction, and reliability of underground mining equipment activities, contractor management, project management and coordination, continuous improvement, mine safety and mine QMS management.

You will have a proven history of leadership in providing safe and reliable execution of tasks, business focus, developing others, building relationships, and achieving results in a mining environment.  Excellent communication, working with minimal direction within a multi-functional mining team, displaying initiative and striving to achieve results are also essential skills.

Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
    Grade 12 diploma
    Minimum of 10 years of mine operational experience, underground preferred
    An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
    Previous front line supervisor experience
    Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan supervisors certificate
    Great understanding of mine safety and safety systems
    Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
    Knowledge of the NATM development method
    Mine Blasting Certified or familiar with mine blasting activities.
    SAP experience
    Understanding of reliability centred operation
    Previous uranium mining experience
    Familiarity with iOS devices

Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewans North.
