We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our agency's property management team as our Maintenance and Construction Coordinator. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a mixed portfolio of facilities as well as oversees the maintenance and repair of the canoe and utility trailer fleet. This role leads a staff of facilities maintenance workers who perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and equipment and electrical servicing for the organization. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-orientated. The candidate must be organized and have proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads.
Education and Experience
* Journeyman in electrical, plumbing, carpentry or related trade
* Specialized training in various certifications or applications relating to basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or grounds keeping
* Must have working level knowledge of building and ground maintenance and operations
* Must be in good physical condition to perform a variety of manual activities
* Valid class 5 experience driver's license with a good driving record is required
* Effective time management and organizational skills
* WHMIS
* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
You must be able to work in demanding work environment with an unpredictable workloads and deadlines and be approachable, co-operative and flexible when dealing with clients and colleagues.
