DUTIES:
- Designs & drafts plans, drawings or sketches from survey notes, sketches, other plans or technical information.
- Proficient in design & development of G.I.S. (Geographic Information System) & updates
- Develops & maintains drawing files & reference library.
- Performs preliminary surveys
- Performs inspections - utility installation, densities, materials testing, compliance with specifications, site supervision.
- Locates underground infrastructure - property pins, curb boxes, catch basins.
- Provides &/or interprets technical data
- Assists & designs municipal works
- Assists with contract administration / plan reviews
- Maintains records such as detailing work performed, equipment installed, problems encountered and resources used, repairs made.
- Assists the public and associate staff members with Business Division records, bylaws, policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Grade 12
Civil Engineering Technology Diploma
Registered Applied Science Technologist - AScT
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Proficiency in Computer software including Autocad
EXPERIENCE AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Two or three-year of experience as an Engineering Technologist
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
