Rural Communities in Living Sky School Division
Living Sky School Division has dedicated teams that strive to make a difference in the lives of students. We are looking for a dynamic individual to add expertise, energy, and support to our rural schools. If you are a person that demonstrates kindness, respect and integrity for students, families, and colleagues, please apply!
School Liaison Worker  1 temporary, full-time, commencing as soon possible, ending June 30, 2022. The successful candidate will act as a liaison for a number of rural schools to support students and their families, and work in conjunction with other agencies. The successful candidate will have knowledge of and experience working with at-risk students and community agencies as well as an understanding and appreciation of the Indigenous Culture. The ability to offer life skills, social emotional skills, and skills to reengage students with their school community would be an asset. Candidates will work with individual families in our rural settings to strengthen ties to the school community.  Preference will be given to a candidate with post-secondary training in Social Services, Human Services and Psychology, Sociology, or an equivalent degree. A valid drivers license and vehicle are required as travel will be necessary to connect with families.
Applicants should have post-secondary education in a related field or a strong background and experience. Excellent written, oral, technological, and interpersonal skills are vital as well as the capacity to interact with a broad range of public members in a positive manner.
The successful candidate must have the ability to take initiative and work independently with a positive and supportive attitude in a team environment.
