Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, or her designate, the Assistant Program Coordinator will provide daily support for household operations and case management of the John Howard Societys Redemption Home.
    Daily oversight of the program home
    Lead in case planning and case management for clients in the program
    Complete administrative tasks
    Provide risk relapse prevention programming
    Provide support and guidance to program staff
    Role model, encourage, and promote independent problem solving and decision making skills
    Adhere to policies and procedures laid out in the Program Service Manual
    Report all accidents, injuries, and illness and complete all necessary reports
    Report all incidents of suspected child abuse to appropriate authorities and follow all organization protocols.
    University Bachelors degree in the Human Services & 2+ yrs work experience in a residential program with experience in intensive case management
    Compliance with Risk Management policies of the National John Howard Society
    First Aid and CPR, Suicide Intervention training, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Food Safety training
    A valid drivers license
    Clean Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check
    An understanding and commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the John Howard Society.
    Some familiarity with the problems and characteristics of disadvantaged persons
    Experience and familiarity working with the individuals involved in gangs and the justice system
    A working knowledge and experience working in a program facility for at risk client
    Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
    Exceptional writing and case management skills
    Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships with client, staff, and other agencies
    Demonstrated skills in providing supervision to client
