Description

Participant support responsibilities include:
- Oversee the running of designated programs
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate and effective services which, depending on the needs of participants, can range from basic to complex supports, or to a formal Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan or interventions that align with CPP&SP
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify supports to address participants developmental, behavioural, medical and social needs
- Evaluates and modifies programs to ensure they meet the changing needs of the individual
- Train and provide orientation to staff on service delivery
- Work in conjunction with and act as a resource for Program Managers and Direct Service Professionals to implement person-centered plans
- Supervise, support and provide regular feedback and coaching to Program Managers

Qualifications:
- Minimum of Disability Support Worker certificate.  Related post-secondary education and/or equivalent training and experience may be considered
- 5+ years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and 1-3 years of supervisory experience would be an asset
- Possesses experience in the design and implementation of developmental programming and Behaviour Support Plans
- Possesses an understanding of lifts, repositioning techniques, and specialized care equipment
- Possesses a demonstrated ability to train and supervise others effectively and to provide employee feedback and coaching
- Establishes and maintains strong interpersonal peers/professional relationships
- Consistently demonstrates dignity and respect when interacting with others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism
