As part of the Corporate Services Department, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill a permanent, full-time Communications & Marketing Coordinator position.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications & Marketing Coordinator will assist with developing and coordinating marketing campaigns for the City of Humboldt which involves presentations, social media, print, mailings, television advertisements, and often a combination of these.
This position will assist with managing the Citys webpage and social media accounts and work with the Communications Manager and other City departments to help bring marketing efforts to realization, such as community events and other promotions. This position will also work with outside sales and customer service representatives as well as vendors and media personnel.
The successful candidate will have strong research skills with the ability to understand evolving economic trends. The individual will have an in-depth knowledge of the City of Humboldt to be able to incorporate relevant information in marketing campaigns. The individual will also be tasked with carrying out analytics and creating reports. The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills, particularly creative skills, such as graphic design will be considered an asset.
Qualifications:
Post Secondary certification in Marketing, Communications, Business Development, or a related field from a recognized institution.
A minimum of two years experience in communication and marketing activities, experience in a municipal or related setting is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Compensation:
This is an out-of-scope position, with a salary range of $48,669 to $58,403 (2021 rates).
