Description

Position:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will become an integral part of the finance team. You will be focused on reconciliations and reporting. You will be able to adapt quickly to managerial requests and independently manage your workload in a fast paced and innovative work environment. This role will be responsible for the timely preparation, coordination, and presentation of financial analysis on company projects, both current and proposed. They will work closely with the Accounting Department and others to provide financial analysis to ensure the company remains competitive within the marketplace.

Job Duties:
    Maintain budget variance reporting
    Assist with annual budget and quarterly forecast process
    Prepare reconciliation and various general ledger accounts
    Prepare and Schedule all internal and external financial reporting
    Completion and maintenance of general ledger and financial reports
    Reconcile related intercompany accounts
    Assist in quarter and annual budgeting process and year-end workings
    Creates reports to support Finance and Operations
    Report on and when necessary, explains variances on manufacturing processes
    Conducts special financial and business-related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses
    Support and communicate with external accountants and government agencies

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce or Administration and a minimum of 5+ years experience with GL accounts and reconciliations, or equivalent training, in the Accounting field, as an individual contributor. Looking for someone who has an accounting designation or is working towards it.  Previous experience within a manufacturing accounting environment would be an asset.
