Admiral Underground Construction Ltd. provides horizontal directional drilling services throughout Western Canada. Admiral is involved in many different sectors including mining, oil and gas, utilities and telecommunication.
Position
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the operation of a Ditch Witch HDD rig, locating and reading prints. Operators may perform a variety of tasks requiring the use of hand and power tools and motorized equipment.
This position will be a Monday-Friday position; however, the candidate must be willing to work overtime when needed. This position will be located in Carnduff, SK.
Job Duties
Understand ground conditions for drilling/boring
Perform all aspects of HDD locating
Back-pull conduits and cables
Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
Safe use of hand and power tools
Inspect equipment on a regular basis, pre and post operating
Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to General Manager in order to facilitate corrective action
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have;
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating a horizontal directional drilling rig
Experience with the Digitrak F5 locating system
High school or equivalent
Class 1A Drivers License
Excellent organization and time management skills
Physically fit
Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required
