The Taxi Driver will be responsible for providing ground transportation to community members to and from their scheduled medical appointments and will ensure transportation charges are billed appropriately. The Taxi Driver will also perform other transportation services, as required, and as deemed necessary, and will perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the medical van.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 (preferred)
Experience working in a First Nation community
Standard First Aid/CPR
Must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must successfully complete Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as well as comply with an annual Oath of Confidentiality Agreement.
Fit for Duty Policy in effect.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be outgoing and have a caring attitude when working with medical clients.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work independently and within a team.
First Aid, CPR certification an asset and/or willing to obtain.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to speak and understand the Cree language is considered an asset.
