The Town of La Ronge is a scenic lake-side community offering a full range of services and amenities located in the heart of Northern Saskatchewan with a population of approximately 3,000. The community offers progressive growth amidst the natural beauty of the areas surrounding Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. Visitors travel from around the globe to experience the outdoor adventures that this region offers, and La Ronge is the hub of that region.


The Town is seeking an enthusiastic, community-minded, and qualified individual to perform the duties of Equipment Operator position within our Public Works Department.  Reporting directly to the Public Works Manager, this position will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of powered mobile equipment in the maintenance and repair of Town property.  As a condition of employment, the individual is expected to work year-round in a variety of weather conditions and be physically aptitude to perform strenuous work. Working hours per week is 37.75 hours and candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.


The successful candidate must possess a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 drivers license, Grade 12 or equivalency, and experience operating heavy equipment. Prior knowledge or experience in a municipality would be considered an asset.
