Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing Practice & Education, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organizations missions, goals, values and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in SHR.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certificate
CNA Certification in clinical practice area
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
- 3 years recent experience in nursing education and a broad range of clinical experience.
- Previous experience in coordinating quality management activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
