Golden West has been connecting communities for over 60 years. We are proud to tell local stories on AM 1190, Magic 103, BIG 106 and Discover Weyburn. And together with Homefield, we are proud to help local businesses grow through effective advertising and marketing.

We are looking for a News Reporter/Producer to join our team.

The Content Producer/Editor Will:
    Contribute story ideas
    Find and interview subjects for stories
    Gather information, stories, and raw footage and:
o    Write and edit compelling digital news stories
o    Edit photos and video for online presentation
o    Write radio newscasts
o    Select and edit sound bites to present on-air
    Contribute to audience building using all available tools including social media and podcasts

You should apply if you:
    Are passionate about storytelling and have a knack for finding what matters most to the audience
    Have excellent writing skills. Bonus points for digital writing experience or knowledge of Canadian Press standards
    Are comfortable shooting and editing video
    Know or are willing to learn basic audio and photo editing
    Have a strong attention to detail
    Enjoy both independent and collaborative work
    Working knowledge of various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
