Supervise staff
Supervise maintenance and repair services
Select and purchase equipment and supplies
Co-ordinate maintenance and repair services
Co-ordinate contract services
Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff
Respond to guest concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently
Thoroughly inspect rooms that are cleaned each day
Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms
Ensure work areas, equipment and laundry facilities are kept functional and orderly at all time
Implement and provide ongoing evaluation of the hotel standards and work performance procedures for housekeeping team
Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
Co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas
Requirements
Good written and oral communication skills
Good organizational and supervisory skills
Must have the ability to handle and solve customer related concerns and complaints
Some physical labour and heavy lifting is required
Must be able to perform efficiently under pressure and within time restraints
Must be honest and trustworthy
Must have well-groomed appearance at all times
Must have physical stamina to maintain a rigorous pace of work
