RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Prepare, cull & stock products in a manner that is appealing to customers and as
directed by department manager.
2) Assist with ordering, handling, receiving & merchandising, inventory control, mark-down
reports, claims to suppliers and follow up
3) Prepare Value-Added items, such as fruit/vegetable trays.
4) Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment and case temperatures
5) Adhere to the image checklist, merchandising standards, marketing efforts, valueadded
program, housekeeping and loss prevention.
6) Advise manager when replenishment of inventory is required, and keep proper markdown
reports.
7) Adhere to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
8) Assist with staff supervision and training employees
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a self-starter with good knowledge of the produce area, with high
merchandising and customer service standards. The successful candidate will have the
ability to organize and complete tasks in a safe and timely manner. Lifting required. This
position is classified as Safety Sensitive. Therefore, is subject to pre-employment Alcohol
& Substance testing as a condition of employment. Averages 24-40 hours per week.
