Educational Assistant
Permanent Full Time (100%)
SEIU-West  Union Position

Location:    St. Augustine School, Wilcox, SK

Start Date:    September 27, 2021 or as soon as possible
Hours:        6 Hours per day, M-F on student days
Rate of Pay:    As per SEIU-West Agreement


Required Skills/Training:
-Bilingual or competent in the French language
-Training or experience in the French Immersion programming will be considered an asset.
-Minimum Grade 12 education.
-Post-secondary courses in programs such as Early Childhood Development, Educational Assistant, Personal Care Aide or similar related areas and/or related experience would be considered an asset.
-Advanced technology skills and successful experience in supporting curriculum work, would be considered an asset.
-Working with all online learners
-Assisting students with resource use
-Differentiating resources given student needs
-Providing remote support for reading/math recovery
-Resource management - working with the content of the Online Learning courses in preparation for teacher use - with student differentiation in mind
-Digitization of non-digital resources - scanning and organizing for student use
-Practicing/facilitating student experience in digital environment - working with students to develop virtual citizenship skills
-Promoting the use of distance learning resources
-Facilitating communication re: e-resources available
-Possess a current and valid drivers license.
  
Requirements:    
-Familiarity and understanding of the practices of the Roman Catholic Faith
-Recent (within 6 months) Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check upon employment
