Pet Planet Prince Albert is currently accepting applicants for the position of Pet Ambassador for full and/or part-time positions
Desired qualifications and job duties include:
Energetic, willingness to engage customers, and share product knowledge in a busy retail environment
Lift, carry and rotate loads of at least 40 Lbs
Hours - Must be flexible; must be available evenings & weekends
Superior customer service skills
A genuine love for animals and have a passion and good knowledge for pet health and safety
Ensure all shelves are clean and dusted, product rotation, and keep floor exceptionally clean
Willing to learn and ensure the core philosophy of education on domestic pet issues & quality pet nutrition is effectively conveyed to customers
Excel in written and verbal communication
Product knowledge and merchandising
Computer skills and data entry may be required
Serve customers by helping them select products and respond to customers questions
Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner
Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
Previously or currently pursuing a degree, and/ or an accredited certification in nutrition, health sciences, veterinary care, homeopathic medicine, or related fields would be an asset, but not required.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience either working in a retail environment or working with pets/animals.
Extensive training in pet nutrition will be provided as well as monthly training programs
