Description

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency has a 1-year term opportunity for a Business Manager at Air Operations, in La Ronge, SK.  

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications/knowledge:
- Public Sector budgeting, financial management, and government decision-making processes to provide the necessary leadership for budget business plan development and corporate financial planning initiatives;
- Financial and business practices such as Public Sector accounting and auditing guidelines;
- Microsoft Office Software;
- Human Resource practices; and
- TALEO Human Resource Administration System.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to:
-Present clear, concise written and oral information that allows others to understand financial and forecast issues, accounting policies and procedures, budget decisions and accountabilities, recommendations and decision rationale;
- Evaluate and analyze budget business case proposals, and the financial and operational performance of programs including their financial viability;
- Work independently and cooperatively with others in a team environment to establish, build and maintain positive working relationships and to ensure deadlines, goals and objectives are met;
- Independently plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks taking into consideration changing priorities, frequent interruptions and tight deadlines;
- Input, edit, update, retrieve, maintain, format and transmit data and create and generate reports and documents using spreadsheets, databases and word processing with speed and accuracy;
- Accurately compile, compare, calculate, identify and summarize data to complete expenditure, revenue and full-time equivalent forecasts, statistical reports, briefing notes, supporting documents and year-end schedules; and
- Influence, persuade or convince others in order to achieve understanding and reach agreement.
