As the Product Development Specialist, you will evaluate the potential to develop in house services currently utilized by SaskWater into viable new service offerings..  You will undertake research to understand market opportunities and challenges, industry best practices, new technologies and existing operating practices to formulate new products and services.  You will use data and trends to help quantify and qualify new opportunities including pricing, staffing, market development and service level requirements.  You will collaborate with and work in a multi-functional team environment, you will develop business cases and implement marketing plans and strategies to position new products and services to grow new market segments.  You will have a clear understanding of the industry and its challenges.

To qualify, you will have a degree in Business Administration or Commerce, specializing in Marketing or similar discipline and a valid Class 5 drivers license.  You will have
5 to 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in new product development and product analysis and marketing and sales strategies.  You have the ability to work under pressure, adapt to change and the ability to balance customer needs against corporate vision and strategy.

The position is based in Moose Jaw; however, SaskWater would consider locating it in Regina or Saskatoon for the right candidate.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test.  A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.  You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
