Humboldt & District Ambulance Service currently has an opening for a full time Advanced Care Paramedic.
We are a busy rural service with high acuity calls and transfer travel times of 1 hour to Saskatoon.
As a progressive service we pride ourselves in a high level of care ensuring that we continually adapt our delivery of patient care through staff education, new initiatives and equipment as well as keeping up with changing trends within health care. Our Paramedics are also involved in the delivery of Community Paramedicine initiatives within our service area.
Applicants must have a SCoP license or restricted license awaiting COPR exam as well as meet all other SCoP requirements for the ACP licensing level.

- Full time schedules are based on a 5 5 4 rotations with 24-hour shifting
HEMS would consider an option for a different schedule rotation, or a reduced number of shifts based on a employee request prior to hiring.

Specific Skills
- Administer medications and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients
- Administer pre-hospital emergency care
- Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care
- Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies
- Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided
- Assist hospital personnel with provision of medical treatment, if necessary
- Assess extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment
