The Policy Branch with the Ministry of Agriculture has an opportunity for a highly-motivated individual to join their team as a Program Analyst.
As part of the Strategic Policy Unit, you will conduct research and analysis to support policy development on emerging issues in the agriculture sector and coordinate the overall administration of the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) Agreement. Key responsibilities include:
Compiling, coordinating and reviewing program data;
Preparing briefing materials, reports and advice for senior management;
Representing the Ministry on the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Finance and Performance Measurement Working Group; and
Providing support to the Federal-Provincial Management Committee for the ongoing management of the CAP Agreement.
Our successful candidate will have knowledge of policy development and analysis as well as the current trends impacting the agriculture sector.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through an undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Economics or the Social Sciences (or equivalent degree in related field) with related experience.
