Duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for clerical functions including customer service, mail processing, data entry and filing that are associated with administration of the Accessible Parking Program.
Duties include:
- Process Accessible Parking Program applications and renewals (in person or by mail) by reviewing application information; confirming client eligibility based on established program criteria; following up with clients or health care professionals if additional information is required; processing payments; issuing permits/receipts; and, advising clients when eligibility has not been met and the application is denied.
- Complete required documentation associated with applications including accurately entering the information into a database program.
- Respond to phone and in person enquiries about the Accessible Parking Program from clients, caregivers, health professionals, and enforcement officials.
- Assist with permit renewals including generating reminder notifications and mailing letters to meet renewal deadlines.
- Assist with maintaining filing and appropriate storage of documentation.
- Assist with deposits, cash sales reports and other program reporting functions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Business College Certificate/Diploma (1 Year)
Skills:
- Excellent keyboarding skills and attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong Organizational skills and maturity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
