Description

Calian Composites is looking for a passionate individual to join a small, fast-paced team designing antennas manufactured out of steel and carbon fiber. This team is responsible for the design and manufacturing support of a growing product line of composite products.

Recently, AT has developed carbon fiber composite antennas for the next wave of high bandwidth internet-over-satellite. To continue the endeavor into cutting edge manufacturing technologies, we are looking for individuals who share our passion for new and innovative ideas.

Responsibilities:

-Produce engineering drawings for designs
-Support design and quoting efforts by generating 3D geometry
-Produce and maintain manufacturing instructions
-Generate and maintain flat patterns for carbon fiber production
-Design and manufacture jigs and fixtures, as well as produce the guides for production
-Assist with process flow and improvements
-Help in the maintenance of 3D printers and production of components using 3D printing
-Support production and product development through a broad range of tasks and activities

Qualifications:

-Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma, CAD/CAM diploma, or demonstrated equivalent experience
-3+ years of experience
-Comfortable working independently and within the engineering and manufacturing groups
-Strong level of organization and ability to juggle multiple projects
-Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
-Experience with NX and composite manufacturing is considered an asset
