Job Description & Responsibilities
The Failure Analysis Engineering Specialist will be associated with Evrazs Research group and will be located in the Research facility in Regina. The individual will lead the Research Rapid Response team in conducting failure analyses and troubleshooting activities in response to customer complaints and EVRAZ operational problems.
Assign tasks to appropriate support personnel.
Transmitting results and conclusions to Technical Directors, Senior Sales and Operational personnel.
Meeting with customers as required to present findings and conclusions.
Work with the Laboratory Supervisor to maintain equipment and personnel capabilities suited to failure investigations
Requirements:
Experience in performing failure analyses.
A general knowledge of steelmaking, hot rolling, heat treating and welding practices is beneficial.
Familiarity with NDE assessment techniques is beneficial.
Good interpersonal skills are required to interact in a positive manner with customers
