Description

The Process Engineer, is responsible for establishing and monitoring a program of quality checks, testing and data collection to ensure compliance with standards for all products produced in the plant and conformity of all incoming raw materials.

The successful candidate will work with other team members to solve quality and/or process problems that may arise daily and lead and participate in all process and product improvement initiatives and new product development. This position will particularly work closely with Control System specialist to develop and/or improve process control by establishing automation of key process parameters; and design experiments or establish criteria to study and examine the effects of certain process parameters on product quality and productivity; and finally optimize the processes.

Some of the key responsibilities of the successful candidate include deliver process designs or modifications in accordance with project, time, budget, and technical requirements; Prepare process deliverables such as mass flow, process flow, engineering solutions on raw material efficiency and panel property optimization related to OSB manufacturing; Analyze data using statistical analysis method to facilitate quality improvement.

Qualifications

General knowledge of OSB manufacturing process
Ability to provide leadership in a team environment
Commitment to safety, quality, process, and continuous improvement
Proven problem solving and analytical skills
Strong statistical analysis skills and computer literacy
Experience in process improvement and design
Minimum college or university undergraduate degree or certificate or diploma in a relevant field of study
