Description

Duties:
Prepare, update and maintain detailed minor and major inventory lists;
Compile inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of materials, equipment and stock on hand using a computerized inventory system;
Review requisition requests for accuracy and verifying that materials, equipment and/or stock are not available from current inventories;
Monitor and update inventory as materials, equipment and stock are issued or transferred within the organization and sold or donated to the public;
Prepare and maintain complex filing systems for the purpose of tracking purchases, reports and price lists;
Contact suppliers to resolve shortages, missed deliveries or other problems;
Reconciling physical inventories with computer counts;
Prepare reports on adjustments made to inventories that may be damaged, spoiled, etc. and notify supervisor of any discrepancies or irregularities;
Other duties as assigned by supervisor &/or designate;

Qualifications:
Minimum one-year certificate in Business Administration or related field and one-year of experience related to inventory control;
Intermediate or Advanced proficiency in Computer applications related to work; Excel, Word, Power Point;
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered; Must be willing to take additional training if required;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Strong organizational skills with an ability to work independently and also collaborate as a strong team member.
Ability to work under pressure with short turn-around times;
Standard office administration practices and procedures, including the use of standard office equipment;
Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;
Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
Must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License and the ability to travel;
Current Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening and Drivers Abstract required upon hire.
