Position Overview:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible the planning, scheduling of jobs as well as optimization of all maintenance assets including the full utilization of a computerized maintenance management system. The focus of the position is safety, quality, production and continuous uptime opportunities. The position may also provide coverage for the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Team Leaders in their absence.


Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years experience in a maintenance planner/scheduler position preferably in an industrial setting
Be proficient in the use of a CMMS program
Basic knowledge of project management concepts
Basic knowledge of stores/spare parts management concepts
Excellent knowledge pertaining to industry related safety programs
Sound understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required
Post-secondary education related to industry/production or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
