Description

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency safeguards and protects the people, property and resources of Saskatchewan through partnerships, co-ordinated planning, education, prevention, mitigation, response and recovery. Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer II for Operational Response, Air Operations in La Ronge, SK.

As a supervising engineer, you will be directly responsible for:
- Delivering the Maintenance Program for the SPSA Aircraft;
- Forecasting, compiling and delivering in an efficient, timely and effective manner on the AMS aircraft work packages; and
- Supervising the work of a team of others including assigning, monitoring and directing work, along with assessing the quality of work of others.

You will also be performing periodic inspections on airframes, engines and systems on a fleet of 17 firefighting aircraft including CL 215's, CL 215 T's, CV 580A's, Baron 55's and Twin Commanders; assessing deficiencies in airframe, engine, electrical, hydraulic and instrumentation systems; and repairing or replacing deficient components in accordance with Transport Canada approval standards.

As the successful candidate, you will have the following qualifications:
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License M1 & M2;
- Recent experience as a Crew Chief directing the work of 5 or more;
- Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License; and
- Recent experience of administering the maintenance on SPSA Aircraft using Aircraft Maintenance Systems (AMS) computerized maintenance tracking program.
