UniTech is urgently looking for IT Technicians to support our growing customer base throughout Saskatchewan. The successful individuals will be assigned tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Providing end users with hardware and software maintenance and support
Installing and configuring IT equipment
Ensuring network security is maintained.
Troubleshooting hardware/software problems.
Investigate & Resolve reported problems.
Research and implement solutions to problems.
Documents all support calls/requests and action(s) taken
Key Qualifications:
Computer Systems Technology diploma or equivalent education and experience
Advanced computer skills
Communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Valid drivers license, where required
Ability to travel
Additional Details
Candidates will be evaluated based on knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.
A successful candidate will also be able to manage their territory, parts inventory, and complete reports for service calls. They will also need to be able to install or oversee the installation of equipment according to manufacturers specifications. We also expect the candidate to be mechanically inclined, and to be proficient in computer and networking skills.

Specific Skills
- Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
- Load computer tapes and disks and install software and printer paper and forms
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
- Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade web-server hardware and software
