Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Health Services Department is now inviting applications for 1 - Permanent Full Time, Dietician for the community of La Ronge, under the supervision of the Home & Community Care Nursing Manager. The Dietitian will provide consultations, counseling and education services to the Lac La Ronge Indian Band membership communities in order to improve and protect the nutritional health of their members. S/he will also provide assessments and intervention including the development, implementation and evaluation of nutritional care plans.
Duties:
Provide assessments of client health needs and diet;
Counsel clients on nutrition and healthy eating habits;
Develop meal plans;
Provide on-going evaluation of the effects of meal plans and making changes as needed;
Develop and deliver education sessions on topics related to food and nutrition;
Deliver and facilitate nutritional programs;
Provide written reports to document client progress;
Qualifications:
Degree in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, Food Systems Management, Clinical Nutrition or related field;
Must be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Saskatchewan Dietetic Association and/or the Dietitians of Canada
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, public relations and problem solving skills;
Strong computer and research skills;
Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;
Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
Must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License and the ability to travel;
Current Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening and Drivers Abstract required upon hire.
