Description

Water Security Agency (WSA) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Environmental Protection Services team.  Reporting to the Executive Director, Environmental & Municipal Management Services Division, this job will provide strategic, analytical research and advisory services, of a confidential nature, relative to new and existing water and wastewater corporate policies, programs and related initiatives and will assist in drafting new and modifying existing policy and/or legislation, to reflect changes in the Agency direction.

Within a multi-disciplinary team environment, in a lead facilitator role and considering both performance and economic feasibility, the employee will be actively involved in the identification, development, implementation and assessment of new and existing policies and programs for the Water Security Agency (WSA) initiatives. This job will also represent the division and WSA as a lead technical expert and coordinator for the provincial operator certification program, provincial subdivision review program and division water and wastewater education program.

The successful candidate will have a Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related Biological Science or an equivalent combination of experience and training and 10 years of experience in research work related to environmental programs including provincial, federal, and municipal water and wastewater management; leading and facilitating of difficult and politically sensitive issues; communicating effectively and thinking strategically and critically.
