Description

We are currently seeking an intermediate level professional with collections experience.
In this position you would be responsible for:
    Preparing a broad range of court documents and correspondence, this includes but is not limited to Statements of Claim, Judgments, Garnishee Summons, Notices of Application and Court Orders
    Preparing and arranging for service of documents and legal notices
    Monitoring limitations, diarizations, court deadlines
    Communicating with lawyers, debtors, court clerks, process servers/bailiffs and other service providers
    Opening and closing of files
    Conducting various types of searches through Information Services Corporation (ISC)
    Administrative duties, including daily record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents.
To be successful, you embody:
    Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    The ability to organize and prioritize competing workloads in a busy and demanding environment.
    Exceptional drafting and proofreading skills.
    Exemplary verbal and written communication skills to draft clear and concise communication and documentation.
    Strong analytical skills.
    Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
    Confidence and are dependable, with initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere.
    A positive demeanor and strong work ethic.
Education/Experience
    Post-secondary education
    3+ years experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
    Accounting skills would be an asset
    Experience in debt recovery/foreclosure would be an asset
