Description

Since 2005, Timber Restoration Services have been building and restoring timber structures in the USA, Canada, and Australia.  We have an immediate need for an Estimator to work out of our Dundurn, Saskatchewan office.

Responsibilities:

-Development of detailed cost estimates from architectural plans and drawings
-Work with the purchasing department to maintain a working relationship with vendors and subcontractors.
-Understand the project/program and its requirements
-Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
-Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues
-Perform risk analysis for quote, bid or tender requests to determine if the company should pursue the project and report this information to the General Manager in a clear and concise manner for final decision
-Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times, etc.
-Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
-Provide consultation on planning projects

Qualifications:
    
Excellent computer skills including Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
Minimum 3 years experience in construction estimating
Proven working experience as an estimator or similar position
Knowledge and familiarity with financial and project management principles
Detail orientated, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a global team environment.
Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
Experience in taking site measurements
