Description

The Human Resources Department is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, respected, and results-oriented individual to fill the role of Director, Human Resources. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Services, and as a member of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible and accountable for:

Strategic leadership and advisory support to the CEO, Executive Leadership and Senior Leadership teams in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating of a wide variety of human resource management programs and services, including human resource planning, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, labour relations, and career/staff development.

Representing the Agency as the senior human resources officer with external stakeholders such as the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Ministry of Health, eHealth Saskatchewan, 3SHealth, Personnel Policy Secretariat, and other health system partners.  

Leading and/or directing all labour relations activities for the Agency, including planning and leading the negotiation process with the union by acting as the lead negotiator, in association with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and providing labour relations interpretation and application advice to all levels of management.


The ideal candidate will have:
Masters degree in administration (health administration, public administration or business administration). A specialty in Human Resources or Leadership would be an asset.
A minimum ten years of relevant and progressive human resource experience, preferably dealing with professional and technical staff in a unionized health care organization.
Certified Human Resources Professional designation would be an asset.
