The human resource consultant is responsible for supporting clients with workforce strategies, providing coaching and strategic human resource advice to business leaders based on their assigned portfolio, and helping business leaders understand and address the people implications of business decisions. Guided by the employee life cycle model, the consultants work as a team across the province to problem solve matters and ensure consistency in service to clients. Working in a complex, multi-bargaining unit environment will require thorough analysis, critical thinking skills and negotiation tactics as you work to resolve labour relations matters. As the institution evolves in our business, services and culture, the human resource consultant will continue to advance in service and support.
There are nine human resource consultant positions located across the province to serve clients in each of our geographic locations. The HR consultant positions are part of the broader team of human resource client services which include three managers (areas of Team Lead, HR client services and HR systems and reporting), four human resource coordinators, three human resource assistants and four human resource analysts that all report to the director, human resource advisory services. The human resource consultant is assigned to a specific client portfolio that spans the provincial Saskatchewan Polytechnic model and works in cross campus teams to support Saskatchewan Polytechnic as a whole. This position will directly collaborate with the broader human resource team to provide seamless support to clients.
