Description

Job Summary: Perform direct troubleshooting maintenance work for repair, adjustment, adaptation, re-design, preventative maintenance and installation of all plant equipment, machinery and infrastructure in order to assist in a safe and productive work environment for all employees.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform Preventive Maintenance activities as assigned on all equipment and machines throughout the plant and yards in conjunction with daily production requirements

Repair breakdown of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure

Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Fabricate parts and other equipment as per
instructions or blueprint

Install and commission new machinery

Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, gearboxes, steel making equipment, and crane equipment according to layout plans and blueprints using hand and power tool

Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

Ensure allocated jobs are always completed safely and to a high quality

Will be required to operate a forklift from time to time

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Certified Millwright
Possess a minimum of three years of Millwright experience.
Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and expedite the repair
Ability to work in a team environment effectively
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to carry out tasks on a timely basis
Forklift operators certificate an asset and will be required
Physical demands require the ability to handle weights up to 25 kg+ (55 pounds)
Possess a valid drivers license
