The Group Home Supervisor reports to the Executive Director. He/She is responsible for the day to day operation of the Pelican Lake Group Home. Duties include administrative, management of personnel (recruitment and orientation of new staff), client management and program planning with clients and staff. The applicant must have good assessment as well as professional and business skills. Knowledge of computers to document work, strong reading and writing skills are essential.
Qualifications:
The Supervisor must possess a Degree in Social Work or a related discipline and have professional experience in the field of Residential Care of Children or Youth. A thorough understanding of the First Nation culture and ability to speak or understand Cree will be an asset. The Group Home Supervisor must also possess strong interpersonal, organizational, managerial and communication skills and be competent to work within the mandate and philosophy of Agency Chiefs Child and Family Services.
