Description

The Prince Albert Police Service is inviting applications from qualified female applicants for the casual position of Matron.  This position is responsible for the custodial supervision of female prisoners while in police custody.  The position of Cell Block Matron includes some light housekeeping, meal distribution, searching prisoners, prisoner effects documentation and other duties as assigned.  

This position is on call only as required.

Qualifications and skills the successful candidate will bring to the position include:

    Professional attitude
    Ability to work independently and organize workload in a multi-task environment.
    Demonstrate the ability to articulate, express verbally and with clear diction.
    Must deal effectively and tactfully with the public
    Previous experience would be an asset
