Description

DUTIES:
1.Leads discussions, in a public forum, to formulate and propose land use and community plans, policy changes and community support programs for consideration by City Council.
2.Prepares and recommends concept plans, detailed design and subdivision plans, policy changes, business plans and administrative processes for the implementation of approved directions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in planning or a related field.
Possession of Full Membership standing in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute (SPPI).
Five years related professional planning experience.
Possession of a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers Licence.
Current drivers abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
Thorough knowledge of the principles, standards and practices related to urban planning and land development.
Thorough knowledge of related municipal by-laws, legislation and regulations.
Thorough knowledge of the land development system, policies and related regulations such as park development guidelines and land development financing.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and resolve complex issues in a multi-disciplinary environment and work effectively with minimal supervision.
