Viterra is seeking a Senior IT Specialist who is responsible for the support, maintenance, performance, security, and recoverability functions in the Enterprise Network systems. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring connections to the company network are managed to deliver secure, uninterrupted business transactions. This critical role has governance, risk, and compliance responsibilities from a technology and security perspective across the organization globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and services.
Monitors the application & compliance of security administration procedures.
Provides advice and guidance on security strategies.
Plans, designs & implements infrastructure components.
Evaluates new system software, reviews updates and identifies those that require action.
Provides advice on the design of service components.
Recommends and implements technologies to improve recovery point objective and recovery time objective.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven ability to communicate effectively.
Superior customer service orientation.
Proven ability to work in a team & independently.
Superior knowledge of industry best practices.
Expert knowledge of Cisco switches & routers, ASA firewalls and Web Security Appliances.
Expert knowledge of Cisco ISE and wireless, VoIP and SD-WAN.
Superior knowledge in Network patch management, IOS upgrades and compliance policies.
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of seven (7) years related business or systems experience.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
Provide on-call technical support, be able to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Relevant Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or CCIE.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
