Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. (MLMP) is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility.
MLMP is one of six operating Paper Excellence Canada mills. We offer a safe, team focused, engaging non-union work environment, opportunities for training and development.

Accounting Technician reports to the Finance Controller, and is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, preparing month end journal entries and working papers, as well a performing administrative functions within the Accounting group.

Responsibilities:
-Matches and verifies vendor invoices with purchase orders
-Ensures all invoices are authorized based on company chart of authorization
-Codes and enters all invoices in a timely manner
-Manages bi-weekly payment runs
-Works with procurement to resolves any purchase order or receiving variances
-Reviews vendor statements and answers vendor inquiries
-Coordinates with monthly accrual
-Files all accounts payable invoices
-Ensures that the companys policies and procedures are adhered to

Qualifications:
-A high level of accuracy & attention to detail with excellent organization skills
-Self motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines with multiple priorities
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Advanced computer skills in spreadsheet applications
-Related experience and/or post-secondary training in the field of accounting are desirable but not required
