Description

Express Employment is looking to fill up to 20 Firewatch roles for an upcoming shutdown out in the Belle Plaine area. This position will start on October 12th and will run for about a week (Orientation will be held on October 7th). Applicants will be required to work the duration of the shutdown, possess valid confined space and fire extinguisher certifications and have all required PPE listed below.

Job Duties:
-Provide fire watch on hot work being performed in confined spaces
-Monitor air quality and gas levels in confined spaces
-Provide support to on site safety crew
-Perform general housekeeping tasks on site

Job Requirements:
-Valid Confined Space and Fire Extinguisher tickets (Can be obtained prior to orientation date, if this is needed please ask)
-Must have required PPE: Wrist watch (Phones cannot be used on site), hard hat, steel toed boots, hi vis vest, glasses and face mask
-Availability to work days or nights (Preference given to applicants who can work either shift)
-Availability to work 12 hour shifts
-Ability to work at heights is required (Up to 4 stories)
-Own transportation and ability to carpool is a major asset
