OWZW Lawyers LLP is currently accepting applications to fulfill the role of IT Administrator on a full-time basis.
This position is responsible for managing and delivering all aspects of IT requirements of a busy, mid-sized law firm with approximately 40 lawyers and support staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, installation, maintenance, security and support of all computer based information systems in a Microsoft based network;
- Installation of workstations, printers/copiers, applications;
- Provide support to users on IT technical issues and specific law firm applications;
- Hands on troubleshooting and correction of software and hardware issues;
- Write and implement procedures and guidelines related to duties;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in an IT discipline;
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Previous experience in a law firm would be considered an asset;
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration, Groupwise, MS Exchange, Fortigate firewalls, SQL versions of PCLaw;
- Previous experience with document management systems in a legal environment will be considered an asset;
- Able to work independently, learn new skills and be a self-starter;
- Possess exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Able to interact with lawyers and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
