Job Description:
The Sales Associate/Key Carrier will be involved in all areas incl. sales, customer service, stocking, merchandising & cashier. Key holder duties include opening & closing the store, handling of cash, receipts, & end of day reports. Will work closely with the manager to report on inventory, organizing & merchandising of the store. This requires working flexible shifts during daytime, evenings and weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Top priority is ensuring high levels of customer service, sales & support
- Converse with customers on a variety of outdoor activities
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory & procedures
- Work in partnership with Store Manager to merchandise, set up, maintain displays, stock levels.
- Lift & move product (lifting up to 40 lbs.)
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor & attitude at all times
- Work with management & staff to fulfill daily duties
- Assist customers with special orders & warranty claims
- Demonstrate leadership skills, responsible to look after the sales floor, act as the manager on duty to open/close the store
- Be attentive & aware with regards to loss prevention methods to prevent & eliminate occurrences.
Qualifications:
- Retail sales (3+ years) in a specialty store environment
- Managerial/Supervisor experience an asset
- Strong work ethic with a positive, energetic approach & attention to detail
- Commitment to driving sales & building a customer base, while maintaining performance objectives
- Excellent customer service, communication, selling & computer skills
- A knowledge & passion for the outdoors is a plus
